Organiser notes
The route initially leaves the SDW and follows the footpath north from the changeover. It rejoins the SDW on the minor road south of Washington and continues past Washington church. After crossing the bridge over the A24, take the right fork (TQ 11561 12828, verve.tucked.pint), signed South Downs Way.
At the top of Barnsfarm Hill (TQ 10493 11955, walled.pepper.performed) turn right where the north and south SDW routes merge.
